Coming in 2027! The Certified Advanced Fiduciary Designation™ (CAFD™) program was created to provide experienced trustees and retirement plan professionals with advanced fiduciary education in the six core areas outlined by Georgia law. This comprehensive program equips participants with the knowledge and confidence needed to address the complex challenges they face as retirement plan fiduciaries.

The CAFD™ program is delivered in two phases. The first seven (7) sessions are conducted virtually during January and February, followed by the remaining seven (7) sessions on Wednesday of the Annual Conference in March. CAFD™ participants are encouraged to take advantage of the conference’s continuing education sessions on Tuesday and Thursday, as well as the networking opportunities, meals, and special events offered throughout the conference.

Participants earn fourteen (14) GAPPT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) upon completion of the CAFD™ coursework. Those who successfully pass the course examination will be awarded the CAFD™ designation.

To maintain the designation, CAFD™ certificants must complete six (6) GAPPT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) annually during the recertification period, which runs from April 1 through March 31. Eligible CECs may be earned through GAPPT’s Trustee School Continuing Education Course, Annual Conference educational sessions, or the Association’s online learning platform.

Enrollment in the CAFD™ program is limited to individuals who hold an active Certified Retirement Plan Fiduciary™ (CRPF™) designation. Registration for the CAFD™ program is available through the Annual Conference registration process, which opens in mid-November. An additional fee will apply to cover the virtual learning component.

GAPPT Members Only: CAFD™ Course information, including FAQs and the Course Handbook, will be available soon.
