DCPF LogoDefined Contribution Plan Fiduciary™ Designation

New for 2026! The Defined Contribution Plan Fiduciary™ program developed to provide comprehensive and unbiased education for those engaged in administering public-sector defined contribution plans, such as 401(a), 457, and 403(b) plans.

The DCPF™ course is only offered during the September Trustee School. DCPF™ Course sessions are held on the second day of the event. (Participants are encouraged to attend the first day of continuing education sessions.) Breakfast and lunch are provided to all Trustee School attendees. In the early evenings, a networking social hour is offered to enjoy refreshments and discuss the day's educational sessions. The DCPF™ course exam is held on the third morning after breakfast.

The course consists of an introduction, educational sessions specifically designed for those involved with defined contribution plans, and a daily review session. DCPF™ course registrants receive seven (7) GAPPT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for their participation. Upon completing the course exam, a participant will receive their DCPF™ designation. DCPF™ recertification runs from April 1st to March 31st, and designees must complete four (4) GAPPT Continuing Education Credits (CECs) annually to maintain their certification. GAPPT CECs can be earned by attending the Continuing Education Course at the Trustee School, sessions at the Annual Conference, or through the Association's online education platform.
