Membership Types and 2019 Application Information

The GAPPT membership period runs from April 1st to March 31st. All 2019 memberships will expire on March 31, 2020.

Interested in receiving the discounted member rate at the 2019 Trustee School? An opportunity to join the GAPPT is available on the Trustee School registration form. 


Plan Sponsor Membership is open to all individuals who are currently serving as a director or trustee (regular or ex-officio) of a public pension board or who are staff members.

  • 2019 Membership Rate as an Individual Plan Sponsor Member:  $25.00
  • 2019 Membership Rate as an Organizational Plan Sponsor Member:  $100.00 for the first five (5) individuals; $20.00 for each additional individual within the organization.
  • Join the GAPPT as a Plan Sponsor Member.

Affiliate Membership is open to individuals who have expressed an interest in the association and its mission, but who do not fall within the definition of Plan Sponsor or Emeritus member. Individuals with actuarial, consulting, custodial, legal, third-party administration, and investment management firms would be considered Affiliate members.


Emeritus Membership is open to individuals who, except for retirement, would qualify as Plan Sponsor members. They cannot be employed with an entity serving the pension community, such as an actuarial, consulting, custodial, legal, third-party administration, or investment management firm.
