Learn more about the courses below. While some logistics have changed from our usual "in-person" Trustee School, this year's virtual platform will offer our members greater flexibility and convenience.

Basic and Advanced Courses:

  • Individuals interested in earning their Certified Retirement Plan Fiduciary™ designation should register for the Basic or Advanced Course. (Attendees must have completed the Basic Course before registering for the Advanced Course.) 
  • The CRPF™ designation is recommended for all new trustees, as well as experienced fiduciaries wanting a comprehensive curriculum based on the new Georgia requirements.
  • Hours earned can count towards the state-mandated education requirement.
  • Basic and Advanced Course participants will receive a downloadable version of their course book. The course book includes all session slide material, as well as information about the CRPF™ designation.
  • Course sessions will be available on Monday, September 21, 2020 until Monday, September 28, 2020. Participants must view all twelve course sessions in order and in their entirety. For flexibility and convenience purposes, sessions will be pre-recorded and may be viewed at any time during this period.
  • A live review session will be held for all Basic and Advanced Course participants on Monday, September 28, 2020. The Basic Course review will take place from 10:00am - 11:00am. The Advanced Course review will be held from 2:00pm - 3:00pm.
  • The online examination form will be available from 9:00am-11:00pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Participants will be notified of their exam results via email by October 16, 2020.
  • Individuals' earned certificates will be mailed to their organization's address by November 1, 2020.

Continuing Education Course:

  • The Continuing Education Course was originally designed for CRPF™ designees to obtain their eight annual GAPPT Continuing Education Credits (CECs). Due to the new state-mandated education requirements, this course is now available to any public retirement system fiduciary.
  • Continuing Education Course participants may complete the course sessions in any order. The pre-recorded sessions will be uploaded on Monday, September 21, 2020 and will remain available to all course registrants until December 31, 2020.
  • To receive GAPPT Continuing Education Credits (CECs), participants must view the session recording in its entirety and complete a brief assessment. 
  • CECs will be automatically uploaded to a member's GAPPT profile upon successful completion of a session. A downloadable certificate will also be emailed to the participant.

Additional Information:

  • Participants must register for either the Basic, Advanced or Continuing Education Course. Individuals are not able to "pick and choose" sessions from the three courses.
  • Looking to fulfill your state-mandated educational hours? Each course offers participants the opportunity to earn up to thirteen (13) educational hours. 

IT Requirements:

  • Participants will need a computer (tablet or smart phone) and internet access. A microphone or camera is not required.
