Nominations for GAPPT Affiliate Vice Chair

The Georgia Association of Public Pension Trustees greatly appreciates the active participation of its membership, especially those who commit their time and talents to the organization. Since the GAPPT's inception in 2009, Affiliate members have played an integral role in the Association's growth... And their continued representation is vital to its future success.

GAPPT Affiliate members are responsible for nominating and electing their leadership. The 2019 call for Affiliate Vice Chair nominations is now closed. The process timeline is detailed below. 

February 8, 2019 - Nominations accepted until 5:00pm. (The nomination process is now closed.)

February 11, 2019 - Potential candidates contacted about their level of interest.

February 22, 2019 - Voting ballot link emailed to all Affiliate members in good standing.

March 8, 2019 - Voting closes at 5:00pm.

The newly elected Affiliate Vice Chair will serve a one year term under the current Affiliate Chair, Peggy Taylor. In March of 2020, the Vice Chair will assume the Affiliate Chair position for a term of two years. Committee members and chairpersons serve without compensation for their time while engaged in activities related to the business of the association, including attendance at regular and called meetings. GAPPT meetings are typically held once a month and are scheduled in advance. Meetings are held in the Atlanta area, but members may attend by phone.
