Board Members

The Georgia Association of Public Pension Trustees is governed by a Board made up of seven Directors from the Public Pension arena. The Board of Directors will conduct proceedings as provided in the Articles of Incorporation, the Bylaws of the Association, and in accordance with the provisions of the Georgia Nonprofit Corporation Code.

 

Four of the directors of the Board are officers of the Association and three are designated as Directors at Large. Any Regular or Emeritus member of the Association is eligible for election to the Board and is elected by a majority vote of those Regular and Emeritus members of the Association participating in the vote.

 

President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are all two year terms. Initially, our Vice-President and Treasurer will be eligible for re-election after one year; thereafter they will serve in two year terms. Directors at Large are all three year terms after the initial term listed above.

 

In the early stages of our Association, we are also guided by a Steering Committee of individuals with varying levels of experience in Public Pension Administration in the State of Georgia.
